Danelectro 50th Anniversary DC 59 Psychedelic Guitar
The Danelectro was the first mail-order electric guitar for the people. The Danelectro 50th Anniversary Original Spec 1959 DC 59 Reissue Electric Guitar faithfully reproduces the classic electric guitar manufactured from the mid 1950s through the late 1960s and sold via mail-order catalogs. The double-cutaway electric guitar features a masonite and poplar body with original authentic textured tape edging.
The Danelectro electric guitars bolt-on poplar neck has a rosewood fretboard, and bottle shaped headstock with open-back 3 in-line tuners. The Danelectro 50th Anniversary electric guitar's most distinctive features of this guitar are its lipstick pickups, originally consisting of alnico bar magnets and copper wiring wrapped in brown tape and mounted in what were surplus chrome-plated, lipstick tubes.
The original 1959 Danelectro electric guitar bridge had a metal base with notches that held the ball-end strings, and a rosewood saddle. Other features included white knobs on dual concentric tone and volume controls, a white seal-shaped pickguard, and a non-adjustable aluminum truss rod.
