Reinforced Plain Strings (RPS)

Ernie Ball reinforced plain strings (RPS) are just like the regular nickel wound electric slinky strings, but with a tight bronze wrap around the bottom of the string by the ball end. This greatly reduces slippage for greater tuning stability and also reinforces the strength of the string at the point where most breakages occur.
